Výstava sa zameriava na architektúru a urbanizmus jedného z najväčších sídlisk v strednej Európe – Petržalky a zaoberá sa jej premenami v čase. Architektúra je na výstave predstavená ako objekt pozorovania prostredníctvom dokumentačných aparátov – fotografie a filmu. Výsledkom pozorovania nie je záznam určitého stavu, ale rozostavenie herného poľa, iniciovanie možných choreografií a myšlienkových operácií. Výstavný projekt je realizovaný v spolupráci s rakúskym umelcom Josefom Dabernigom a slovenským architektonickým ateliérom PLURAL.
Nie náhodou je toto „surreálne” stretnutie hráčov-pozorovateľov, Josefa Daberniga a PLURAL, situované na ping-pongovom stole. Rám stola teraz nie je prázdny. Socialistický urbánny fetiš sa rozoznieva v prúde odrazených bielych loptičiek, ktoré do neho búšia z oboch strán. Petržalka sa stáva sieťou natiahnutou krížom cez hracie pole. Uviazli v nej minulé obrazy ako v zastavenom filme, ale aj tie prítomné obrazy bezprízornej premeny, z ktorých počuť kroky chodcov, smiech detí, hukot ventilátorov a môžme na nich študovať vchody a východy, rampy a prechody, pasáže a všetky tie reálne a imaginárne možnosti komunikačných prepojení, za ktorými je voľný a nespútaný pohyb.
The exhibition focuses on the architecture and urbanism of one of the largest settlements in Central Europe – Petržalka. It deals with its transformations in time. The architecture is presented as an object of observation via documentary gadgetry – photography and film. The result of this observation is not a record of the final state, but it is a layout of the playing field, the initiation of possible choreography, and thought operations. The exhibition project is realized in cooperation with an Austrian artist Josef Dabernig and a Slovak architectonic atelier PLURAL.
It’s not a coincidence that this surreal meeting of players-observers Josef Dabernig and PLURAL is situated on a ping-pong table. The border of the table is not empty now.
The socialist urbanistic fetish is hearable in a current of white balls that hit it from both sides. Petržalka becomes a web stretched across the playing court. Like in a paused film, past images are stuck in it with current images of forlorn change with sounds of pedestrian steps, children laugh, and ventilator noises. We can study entrances and exits, ramps and crossings, passages, and all the real and imaginary options of transport links behind which there’s free and unbound movement.
